The burial site includes seven grave pits comprised of multiple individuals, with the final overall number of individuals still pending analysis. MCB Camp Blaz Participates In Ombudsman Appreciation Ceremony

Shantavia Wilson, the Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Blaz ombudsman, poses for a photo with senior leaders from MCB Camp Blaz, U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) and Joint Region Marianas during an ombudsman appreciation awards ceremony on NBG, Oct. 15, 2021. Ombudsmen are volunteers appointed by a commanding officer to serve as a link for information between a command’s leadership and their families. Normally, a service member’s spouse from the command serves as the ombudsman, however, due to the unique circumstances of MCB Camp Blaz, an active duty Marine currently serves as the ombudsman.
