Mission

The Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz Provost Marshal's Office protects all personnel and organizations aboard the base through physical security, policing, and investigative operations in order to enhance critical infrastructure protection and maintain a safe and secure environment for warfighters and civilian personnel.

Vision

The Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz Provost Marshal's Office is a professional, modern, values-based, military police agency that enables readiness for Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz by focusing on protection through standards-based operations, intelligence led, community policing, and partnerships.

Lines of effort

LOE 1: Enhance Critical Infrastructure Protection: This LOE directly addresses the mission’s emphasis on protecting critical infrastructure.
Focus: Proactive security measures, vulnerability assessments, access control, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to safeguard essential base assets.
Supporting Tasks: Perimeter security, surveillance systems maintenance, response planning for potential threats, and collaboration with engineering/public works for physical security enhancements.

LOE 2: Maintain a Secure & Orderly Environment: This LOE focuses on the core policing function of the PMO and supports both the mission and vision.
Focus: Deterrence of criminal activity, rapid response to incidents, traffic management, and enforcement of base regulations to ensure a safe environment for all personnel.
Supporting Tasks: Patrol operations, incident response, investigations of minor offenses, traffic accident investigations, and community engagement.

LOE 3: Develop Intelligence-Led Policing Capabilities: This LOE stems from the vision’s emphasis on intelligence.
Focus: Gathering, analyzing, and disseminating information to proactively identify and mitigate threats, and to inform security strategies.
Supporting Tasks: Developing intelligence networks, conducting threat assessments, analyzing crime data, and sharing information with relevant agencies (e.g., counterintelligence, force protection).

LOE 4: Foster Community Policing & Partnerships: This LOE directly reflects the vision’s emphasis on community policing and partnerships.
Focus: Building positive relationships with base residents, civilian employees, and other stakeholders to enhance trust, cooperation, and information sharing.
Supporting Tasks: Community outreach programs, security briefings, establishing neighborhood watch programs, and coordinating with other base organizations.

LOE 5: Modernize & Professionalize PMO Operations: This LOE addresses the vision’s call for a “professional, modern” agency.
Focus: Continuous improvement of PMO policies, procedures, training, and equipment to ensure the highest standards of professionalism and effectiveness.
Supporting Tasks: Implementing best practices, conducting regular training exercises, adopting new technologies, and maintaining a focus on values-based policing.

Welcome To MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BLAZ PROVOST MARSHAL’S OFFICE

Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz (MCBCB) Provost Marshal's Office's (PMO) mission is to provide Law Enforcement, Physical Security/Anti-terrorism, Loss Prevention, and Crime Prevention programs including administrative and clerical support services to the MCB Camp Blaz Command and Community. We are a full service and community-oriented police department. PMO is located at BLDG 295A.

Description of Operations 

The Patrol division is under the direct supervision of the on-duty Watch Commander. The Division is responsible for patrolling MCBCB and it’s properties to enforce good order and discipline. The Division answers calls-for-service, takes initial reports of criminal activity, makes lawful apprehensions and or arrests, investigates traffic accidents and enforces traffic laws.   

Objectives 

  • Detect and deter criminal activity through proactive preventive patrol. 

  • Provide proactive traffic control throughout MCBCB. 

  • Provide a timely response to all calls-for-service. 

  • Furnish a high level of professional service to all of our patrons. 
     

Safety and Sobriety Checkpoints 

PMO conducts random checkpoints authorized by the Commanding Officer of MCBCB. We are requesting your cooperation and patience. Purpose of these safety and sobriety checkpoints is to deter individuals from driving under the influence of any alcohol and or drugs and to increase safety of all personnel onboard the installation. Make the right decision and choose not to DRINK AND DRIVE!  
 

Seat Belt Law 

All government and private motor vehicles are required to be equipped with seat belts. The driver and all passengers shall wear seat belts whenever the vehicle is in motion. BUCKLE UP, IT’S THE LAW!  

Traffic Accident Reporting 

Any traffic accidents occurring onboard Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz shall be reported to PMO. Police Officers called to the scene of such accidents will investigate the accident, issue a citation as needed and generate a Traffic Accident Report(s).  
 

Physical Security & CRIME PREVENTION

The Physical Security & Crime Prevention Division is the primary source of protection for all personnel and Government property against nefarious acts. It’s purpose is to establish and revise policy, ensure all personnel are aware of and involved in protecting property, provide guidance and set forth policy for physical security and loss prevention measures to safeguard personnel, property, and material aboard MCBCB. The Physical Security & Crime Prevention Division is responsible for the completion of Physical Security and Crime Prevention Surveys for all assets vital to national security and inhabited spaces. Criminal Investigation Division 

The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) personnel are primarily tasked to conduct criminal investigations involving UCMJ violations and other criminal acts that are not pursued by NCIS. CID conducts short- and long-term investigations when solutions cannot be achieved during the course of normal shift hours to identify, detect, and/or apprehend individuals who have committed acts of violence, theft of property (Federal/ Personal), or other violations of the law. CID is also responsible for documenting and safeguarding of all evidence of crimes submitted that could be utilized in a trial by court-martial, other judicial administrative proceedings, and/or a court of law. For questions or concerns please contact Criminal Investigation Division at 671-355-7535. 

Training Division

MCBCB PMO Training Division is comprised of qualified instructors that display technical and instructional competencies, maintain certifications/qualifications, and instruct to specific standards. This includes scheduling and conducting training, testing, and evaluations on Law Enforcement (LE), Non-Lethal Weapons training, Weapons qualifications, and physical fitness. 

MCBCB PMO Training Division provides classroom and practical application instruction to authorized personnel in accordance with the T&R Manual and the Law Enforcement Manual and the Law Enforcement Manual. Personnel receiving training are Marine Corps Military Police, Navy Civilian Police (NCP), Fleet Assistance Program (FAP), Security Augmentation Force (SAF), and other personnel authorized by the Installation Commander.
