U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Carlos Ruiz, Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, speaks with the Honorable Lourdes Leon Guerrero, the Governor of Guam, during a visit to her office in Hagåtña, Guam, April 16, 2024. Ruiz visited Guam and Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Blaz to oversee the progress of the base, better understand the tactical positioning of Marines in the INDOPACIFIC, and tour the facilities available on MCB Camp Blaz. “There’s no better service than the United States Marine Corps to be here, to be ready to pivot from this place…[for] anything that’s needed by any combatant commander,” said Ruiz.
