Scheduling Ranges and training areas

Hours of Operation:
Camp Blaz is functioning within its Initial Operation Capability (IOC)
Scheduling Office
: Open from 0730 to 1630, Monday-Friday
Day Live-Fire Operations
: 0730 to 1630, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Evening/Night Live-Fire Operations
: 1300 to 2200, Tuesday and Thursday
Non-Live-Fire Training within the Skaggs UTC
: Will follow the same time blocks and days set forth above. Units will be required to vacate the training area at the end of each training day. Once MCB Camp Blaz is fully capable, non-live-fire training within the Skaggs Urban Training Complex with shift to 24 hours, 7 days a week. Live-fire operations may be extended hourly each day and expanded into the weekend if necessary.

Below you will find the requirements needed to schedule your unit's training:
Step 1
1. Check in with Range Facility Management Support System Functional Administrator (RFMSS FA).
a. Provide your unit information via email - Unit name, UIC, Level
-Attachment: MCBCB UNIT INFORMATION SHEET
b. Unit's S3/Operations OIC/NCOIC submits names of designated Primary and Alternate unit scheduler via email. Once received by RFMSS FA, Unit Schedulers will receive an email with Accounts Requested Instructions
c. Designated Primary and Alternate schedulers will request for their RFMSS accounts and have their accounts approved by the RFMSS FA.

Step 2
2. Unit Designated Range Officer in Charge and/or Range Safety Officer must complete MARINENET online Range Safety Course (RTAMTSOCAA) at https://portal.marinenet.usmc.mil .
a. Must have a current Range Safety Course certificate (
Valid for 3 years)
to attend the MCB Camp Blaz Range Brief.
b. Ranges and Training Areas OIC/RSO must be E5 or above.
Step 3
3. Contact the MCB Camp Blaz Range Safety Officer to schedule for the MCB Camp Blaz Range Brief.
a. Bring a copy for your MARINENET online Range Safety Course certificate to the Installation Range Brief.
b. Upon completion of the Installation Safety Brief, Units will submit the Unit Commanders Range OIC/RSO
